What are the benefits of wearing eyelash extensions?
KEY BENEFITS:
- Appear more youthful, alert, and approachable.
- Feel the incredible experience of increased eye contact, connection, and inner confidence.
- Free yourself from the wasted time, frustration, and damage associated with eyelash curlers and mascara. No more clumpy lashes, smudges, and eye-irritating flakes. Eyeliner is optional as the base of the extension creates a line along the lid. Many clients do not feel the need to wear makeup at all.
- Accentuate the color and brightness of your eyes. A master eyelash artist can actually bring out the green or blue in your eyes or brighten the shade of your brown eyes. They can even make your whites brighter and lessen redness.
- Rest and rejuvenate. Our private spa atmosphere will allow you to unwind, relax, self-reflect, meditate, or even take a little nap. Your comfort is of extreme importance – expect inviting scents and music that will set you at ease.
What is the difference between Classic and Volume Lash techniques?
Volume Technique (aka Russian Volume) is where multiple extensions are attached together by the stylist using the smallest amount of adhesive creating a customized “fan” and attached to one natural lash. Volume Lashes are applied using 2-6 very thin, lightweight lash extensions to a single natural eyelash. Some refer to the different “fan” sizes by the number of individual extensions as 2D, 3D, 4D, etc. This simply tells the consumer the quantity of individual lashes make up each “fan.” We have never before been able to offer such volume and fullness to our clients in a safe and sustainable way until now. The result is unparalleled fullness while still being lightweight and safe for long-term wear. As with all of our services, we can adjust the fullness level, length, and curl to suit exactly what you want.
What is the difference between Volume Technique and Lash Tabbing, Clusters, and “Individuals”?
Please be aware of what you’re getting before you lay down for your lash service. Pre-made small clusters of eyelashes have been available for decades; these lashes are heavy and are meant to be applied for a single day’s use. Do not be fooled by low-priced salons or nail shops offering “Volume Lashes”. If you are told your service will take less than an hour, RUN!! They will be applying these old fashioned clusters to your lashes with a strong & long-lasting glue that wasn’t designed for them. These lashes may look good for a few days, but they will start to itch, pull, and hurt soon after. As time goes on, they will start to pull each other off, and break off, taking your natural lashes with them.
Why choose Couture Lash Lab over a nail or hair salon?
How do i get the longest wear out of my extensions?
Some might argue that the up keep of extensions is tough, but with a few key points to keep in mind they can be very easy to maintain. – Don’t Wear makeup! Get a set of extensions that mimic the darkness of your everyday makeup. If you wear little to no makeup a full classic set will usually be enough. If you wear eyeliner and mascara you should opt for a Lite or Full volume set to give you the desired darkness around the eyes. – Do not touch your extensions. Touch your extensions only when you have to clean them or comb them into place. Otherwise leave them alone for minimal shedding. – Clean your lashes everytime you wear makeup! Even if its only on the bottom lid.
Makeup products can produce residue and cause the lashes to slide out. If you only apply makeup to the bottom lid it is important to use soap and water to wash your extension after. Makeup transfers to the top when you blink. – The less makeup you wear the longer your lashes will last. Wearing less or no makeup means having to wash your extensions less which in turn means less cause for shedding. – Maintain Oily skin avoid using oily products on the face. Use rice papers to dab up excess oil produced on the skin around the lids. When applying face moisturizers avoid applying on the lid area. Oils whether natural or not will cause the extensions to slide out if not maintained. – Take care when crying and rinse your lashes when you’re done. Salt in your tears will make your lashes fall apart. – Wear a sleeping mask if you are a wild sleeper. Wearing a sleep mask can help you from bending your extensions and rubbing them off. – Schedule your fills on time. Do not wait till the last lash is on it’s dying leg before you come in for a fill. Scheduling your fills in a timely manner is important for the maintenance of your extensions and maintaining a low cost on your budget. Always aim to come in no later then when half of your extensions have shed out or at the 2 week mark. Waiting any longer then that will mean more extensions have shed out, It will take longer to fill and in the end cost you more money.
The TRICK to wearing extension: – Avoid wearing makeup at costs. – Avoid touching them whenever possible – Keep them clean and oil free -Wear a sleep mask if you are a wild sleeper – come in with 50% of your lashes still on. Follow these easy steps and your extensions will last you as long as your natural lash cyle will permit.
